GARZO LIQUID LEVEL CONTROLLER MODEL 108B
 GARZO Model 108B controllers are designed to automatically maintain the oil level in engines and
compressor crankcases. Maintaining the proper oil level not only prevents damage to the equipment from
lack of lubrication, but also results in oil savings from loss of oil from overfilling the crankcase.
The controller is designed to take its oil supply from low pressure gravity feed tanks to high pressure
headers. In the 108B system, the standard valve assembly is engineered to work in conjunction with
atmospheric tanks or up to 15 psig oil supply pressures. This feature will allow the controller to operate
with adequate oil supply pressures. This feature will allow the controller to operate with adequate oil supply
pressures without the problem of flooding the crankcase due to high oil supply pressures. A 70 psig valve
assembly is also available. With this high pressure assembly, the oil supply pressure can be from various
pressure sources, including |

| engine or compressor lubricating oil, or gas blanketed remote oil storage tanks. The gauge glass is a ¼" thick tempered glass giving high impact strength and high thermal shock resistance. The glass will remain clear and will not discolor from sunlight, heat or contact with various lubricating oils. |
| When a level alarm is required, the controller is also available with a wide range of alarm devices.
When a magneto grounding switch system is used, the controller is available with either a low level or high-
low level contact. The contact is located in the controller body with the external terminal enclosed in a
conduit fitting. When an explosion proof version is required, the GARZO controller can be furnished with
either a low level or high-low level switch. These electrical switches are three wire, single pole, double
throw, and have an Underwriters' Laboratory rating Class I, Group C & D, Division 1 and C.S.A.
certification. When a low level pneumatic shutdown is required, the controller can be furnished with a
pneumatic switch which vents on low level and automatically resets upon return of normal oil level. Other
alarm devices are available on request. |

Quality at every level.
The 108B system can be installed on the engine and compressor by means of a wide variety of mounting brackets and adaptors. The "PMB" or Pan Mounting Bracket is the most common. This bracket is infinitely adjustable in elevation, reversible, and offers a wide number of mounting arrangements. The controller is simply piped to the supply and engine by means of flexible hose or tubing. Mounting adaptors are also available which connect the device directly to the crankcase.
Oil level regulators control the oil level in the regulator body. The ¾" NPT outlet connection gives excellent gravity flow from the regulator body to the engine oil pan. As with all regulators, proper care must be taken to equalize the pressure in the regulator and the pressure in the crankcase.
Our exclusive patented valve and seat assembly gives longer service life and prevents the wire drawing or eroding of the valve seat. By placing the valve ball upstream of the valve seat, the pressure differential
holds the ball in the seat. When the float and oil level overcomes this deferential the valve ball is popped
out of the seat. When the oil level rises, the valve ball snaps back into the seat. The oil does not leak and
cut through the seating surface. |
The controller is equipped with an inlet oil filter to remove any sediment from the oil supply which might
clog the valve assembly. The filter screen can be removed and cleaned without disturbing the operation
of the equipment or removal of supply piping. If required, the cover of the controller can be removed, lifting
the complete valve and alarm assembly from the controller body without draining the crankcase.
The regulator is made from 100% aluminum castings which resist galvanic corrosion and eliminate the need for painting, making the regulator suitable for offshore and gas compressor installation.
Installation kits are also available which can include hose, hose fittings, and clamps for ease of mounting. Oil supply tanks are also available in 15, 30, and 55 gallon capacities, with 36" or 56" tall stands, or with wall mounting brackets. The tanks are available with a condensate drain fitting which allows the removal of the water condensation form the bottom of the tank, and allows the oil to be supplied from above the condensate level. |
